Lucian Țâțu is a professor in the Department of Finance of the Faculty of Finance and Banking of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. His academic training was carried out at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, with a degree in finance (1998). He later obtained his PhD (2006) with the thesis Analysis of the operation of taxation mechanisms on the economic and financial performance of the company. In 2025, he defended his habilitation thesis entitled Challenges in the field of corporate finance, taxation and public financial policies. Throughout his academic career, which began in 2000, he has carried out teaching and seminar activities in the disciplines of the Department of Finance: Taxation, Public Institutions Finance, Customs and Excise Regime, Finance, Public Finance, Financial Management of Real Estate Properties, Taxation for Financial Managers, etc. Research areas of interest are: corporate finance, taxation, public financial policies. He conducts his research activity within the Center for Financial and Monetary Research (CEFIMO). Along with his teaching and research activities, Lucian Țâțu is also involved in representation and managerial activities at the faculty and university level: member of the Senate of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, member of the Council of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Head of Finance Department, coordinator of the Taxation master’s program, General Manager of the journal The Review of Finance and Banking.
