FABBV Meet & Connect is the annual flagship event that unites our academic and professional community. Designed as a platform for dialogue and reconnection, this event brings together top alumni, academic staff and current students.
The purpose of the event is to create a synergy between generations: discussions about the present and future of the faculty, analysis of the challenges of the economic environment and leveraging the experience of graduates to motivate and guide new generations of finance professionals. Each edition also marks the official launch of the FABBV Events Calendar for the following year, setting the direction and priorities of a united, active and connected community.
The Alumni Night event is an initiative designed to facilitate interaction between current FABBV students and recent graduates, in a setting that transcends the rigidity of the traditional academic environment. The central objective of the event is to create an open dialogue space, conducive to the exchange of ideas and the transfer of early professional experience.
Through this gathering, the aim is to strengthen the cohesion of the academic community and stimulate professional networking. In a special atmosphere, students get to know colleagues from previous generations, discover tips and tricks about the labor market and enjoy a relaxed networking evening together with the community they are part of.
Your success is our pride. We wish to rebuild the connection with graduates who have excelled in the financial field and to lay the foundations of a strong, active and united community.
By joining this network, you open the door to new opportunities to connect with colleagues from the industry and become a valuable resource for students aspiring to a career similar to yours. Our goal is to facilitate the transfer of experience to current students and to create a framework in which FABBV generations meet, collaborate and innovate.
Be part of the network that shapes the future of finance!
I am an alumna of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange. During my undergraduate studies, I developed a passion for taxation, with my bachelor’s thesis focused on “Comparisons Regarding the Taxation of Individuals across the European Union.” This passion led me to continue my studies in this field, making the Taxation Master’s program at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies the most fitting choice. Throughout my undergraduate years and continuing into my master’s studies, I was involved in the Academy’s extracurricular activities, serving as an active member of the University Senate, the Council of the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange, the Admissions Committee, and many others. I also served as the representative of the Taxation Master’s program, class of 2022–2024, participating in various projects and organizational activities. Professionally, I have been working as a Financial Analyst in the Finance division – Planning & Control since my second year of university, and I am eager to further develop my financial skills.

My name is Andreea Bozagiu and I am currently a PhD candidate and research assistant at the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange (FABBV) in Bucharest. I completed both my undergraduate and master’s programs within DOFIN (Doctoral School of Finance and Banking), and these academic stages allowed me to develop my passion for financial analysis and teaching. My experience at FABBV has had a significant impact on my career, providing me with access to a wide range of knowledge in the financial-banking field and to professors who proved to be true industry professionals.
The faculty played an essential role in shaping me, not only through its varied curriculum and high-quality educational resources, but also through opportunities to participate in research projects and conferences, which gave me a practical perspective on financial markets and credit risk. This environment sparked my interest in advanced research and in developing innovative solutions in the financial field.
I currently work in the financial sector as a Senior Quantitative Modeller at a company specializing in credit risk management, where I apply the knowledge I have gained to develop quantitative models that support risk assessment and management.

In 2023, I graduated from the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange, and driven by my desire to become a leading professional in the financial-banking field, I am currently pursuing the Corporate Finance Master’s program. My passion for research has taken shape through participation in prestigious competitions held at the national level.
As a student representative, I chose to become actively involved in order to contribute to improving the academic experience of my fellow students. I want each of us to feel that our voice matters and that together we can build a successful university environment, built on support and collaboration.
My volunteer experience taught me the meaning of authentic communication, conflict management, leadership, empathy, and altruism, helping me to motivate and uplift teams. For me, FABBV is more than an academic environment – FABBV is a kind of “home,” because it is here that I grew intellectually and professionally, rigorously nurturing my quantitative mindset, perseverance, analytical nature, and my drive to turn good into great.

For many young people, choosing a university is a challenge, and I was no exception. At 18, I felt that my future depended on this decision, and after careful consideration, I chose to enroll in the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange at ASE. Here I benefited from outstanding professors who inspired and guided me, as well as numerous opportunities for personal and professional development. I completed both my undergraduate studies and my Master’s in Financial Management and Investments at FABBV, discovering a passion for investment research. This experience led me to pursue doctoral studies, and I am now a first-year PhD student at the Doctoral School of Finance. The knowledge and skills I gained here opened the door to a career in asset management at Allianz-Țiriac Asigurări. Looking back, I can say that choosing this faculty was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and if I had to do it all over again, I would choose the same path.

My name is Cristian Tămîrși and I am a graduate of the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I also pursued the Corporate Finance Master’s program.
Already during my university years I began my career in finance, working at several major companies such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo. The faculty provided me with a solid foundation in this field, which has certainly contributed to my professional growth. I currently hold the position of Junior Commercial Finance Manager at British American Tobacco, where I can say with confidence that many of the skills I acquired at FABBV continue to serve me well. If I had to choose again, I would undoubtedly make the same choices. Without a doubt the best faculty, with the best professors and the coolest classmates.

Graduating from FABBV was more than an academic goal — it was a dream fulfilled. Choosing this faculty was a carefully considered decision made back in high school. My economics classes in the eleventh grade confirmed that FABBV was the best first step toward achieving my professional aspirations. Looking back, I can say with certainty that this choice was defining.
The faculty’s curriculum is perfectly tailored to the current demands of the field, offering an ideal balance between theory and practice, between academic study and applied research. I currently work at the National Bank of Romania, within the Macroeconomic Modelling and Forecasting department, alongside other FABBV graduates, applying daily the macroeconomics knowledge and econometric techniques learned during my studies to ensure a robust framework for economic analysis and forecasting.
Furthermore, FABBV and the DOFIN – Finance and Banking master’s program provided me with all the knowledge and skills needed to continue my academic journey within the doctoral program I am currently pursuing, where I explore topics relevant to the field. FABBV has become more than an educational institution for me — it is a cherished place, a second home, to which I return with gratitude and admiration.

I am currently a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of Finance and a Research Assistant in the Finance Department at FABBV since 2023. Throughout my undergraduate and master’s studies, I served as a student representative on the University Senate and the Faculty Council. My involvement in student life included representing student interests, developing leadership skills, organizing events, attending conferences and workshops, and more. In the area of research, I participated in financial valuation and scientific research competitions such as the CFA Research Challenge (as a member of the team that represented FABBV at the local stage) and the Student Scientific Communications Session.
For me, FABBV is more than a higher education institution — it has become a second home and family. The community here welcomed me with open arms and offered a warm and friendly environment in which I grew both professionally and personally. Here I met dedicated professionals and true mentors who not only shared their extensive knowledge with us, but were always there to support and guide us. I am truly proud to be part of this academic community, for which I will remain forever grateful.

I am a graduate of the bachelor’s, master’s (DOFIN), and doctoral programs at the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange (FABBV) at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) — an academic journey that provided me with a solid foundation for my career development. During my years of study, I was actively involved as a student representative at ASE level and nationally, where I learned the importance of collaboration, particularly between students and professors, from which both sides have much to gain. This mindset allowed me to build relationships of trust and to achieve success not only academically, but also in sports, winning three trophies at ASE level together with the faculty’s football team.
My academic training at FABBV opened the door to a successful career in consulting. I currently hold the position of Senior Manager in the Financial Accounting and Advisory Services department at Ernst & Young Romania (EY), working in the field of risk management — an area in which I also specialized during my studies. This experience gives me the opportunity to put into practice everything I have learned and to contribute to the development of both my team and the company.
My advice to current students is to make the most of the opportunities offered by the faculty, to believe in yourselves, and to keep learning while finding joy in what you do.
