Professor Univ. Dr. Dan Costin Nițescu is a distinguished expert in finance and banking, holding management and coordination positions both in the central bank and commercial banks. • He is serving as professor of “Banking” related topics, within the Money and Banking Department, Faculty of Finance and Banking within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. The courses lectured are: Governance and Risk Management, Banking products and services, Customer Relationhsip Management in banking and insurance industries,. • Professor Dan Nițescu holds a Ph.D. in Economics with a specialization in Finance, along with a degree in Financial Management from the Open University Business School, UK. • His Alma Mater is the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Bucharest University of Economic Studies. • He combined the academic career, marked by a strong research focus, with the banking career, coordinating export finance transactions, structuring banking products, for a variety of projects. • Professor Nițescu acts as Senior Advisor to the Governor of the National Bank of Romania and serves as Board member for other financial organisations. • His research interests include risk management and corporate governance in banking, central banking and new tech, digital finance, technology and payment ecosystems. • Professor Dan Nițescu is involved in research and education development activities.
