From High School to Finance and Banking

The Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchanges within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, in partnership with the Romanian Association for Finance and Banking – RoFIBA, with the support of ING Bank Romania, organizes the competition “Investing in the Future: From High School to Finance and Banking.”

Edition theme: Money management and long-term savings strategies

The competition is structured in 2 stages:

Stage I – Teams will be divided into 6 groups. At the level of each group, the events consist of:

Stage II – Presentation of a project on a topic to be announced by the organizers to the teams that qualify for Stage 2.

Prizes for Stage II:

– 1st prize: 10,000 RON

– 2nd prize: 8,000 RON

– 3rd prize: 6,000 RON

Prizes will be divided equally among all team members (teacher and students).

Stage I and Stage II events will take place in person at the FABBV premises, ASE Bucharest, 7, Mihail Moxa Street, Bucharest.

Organizer

Bucharest University of Economic Studies – Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchanges (FABBV), in partnership with the Romanian Association for Finance and Banking – RoFIBA, with the support of ING Bank Romania.

Who can participate?

High school students (Years 10, 11 and 12), in teams of 4 students and one supervising teacher. Each school may enter a maximum of 3 teams.

About the competition

Participants will create an interdisciplinary project (economics, mathematics, computer science, physics, etc.) on a topic from the following areas: finance, insurance, banking, stock exchanges.

Competition structure:

Stage I – Preparation session with physical attendance, led by FABBV – ASE Bucharest academic staff Location: Str. Mihail Moxa no. 5-7, Sector 1, Bucharest – Project topic is announced

Stage II – Teams present their project before a committee composed of professors and business experts Location: FABBV premises –7, Mihail Moxa Street, Bucharest (in person)

Prizes awarded:

1 × Excellence Prize – 15,000 RON

3 × 1st Prize – 10,000 RON each

6 × Performance Prizes – 5,000 RON each

Participation diplomas for all participating students and teachers
