Paula Lazăr has over two decades of experience in higher economic education and currently holds the position of Associate Professor (PhD) within the Faculty of Finance and Banking at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Her academic activity is characterized by scientific rigor and applied relevance, consistently integrating the theoretical dimension of the disciplines taught with practical perspectives and well-substantiated analyses. Education Paula Lazăr earned her PhD in Economics at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, with a doctoral thesis dedicated to tax competition at European and global level. Subsequently, she completed postdoctoral studies focused on monetary and financial policies and models in the context of economic and social cohesion. Her academic training is complemented by a Master’s degree in Accounting, Expertise and Audit, as well as Bachelor’s studies in Economics, with a double specialization in Finance and Insurance, respectively Banking and Stock Exchanges. Research Interests Her main fields of research include public finance and taxation, tax competition and the impact of tax policies on the economy, as well as digitalization in taxation, with emphasis on tax compliance and the efficiency of public revenue collection. Teaching Activity Paula Lazăr delivers both lectures and seminars at undergraduate and graduate level, teaching Public Finance, Taxation, Finance and Basic Finance, within study programs offered in Romanian, English and French. Publications and Complementary Activities Her scientific portfolio includes books, research articles published in nationally and internationally recognized academic journals and conference proceedings. She participates regularly in scientific events and engages in academic and institutional activities.
